A Few Days without Air Conditioning with 3 Toddlers

We had a few days without air conditioning, and with 3 boys under the age of 4, and an inside temperature of 84 degrees, we really had to get creative. Even talking them into running around in their underwear took work. (My kids really appreciate being clothed.) At night, I wrapped ice packs from the freezer in tea towels and put them in their beds. We had box fans running and wet rags, cool baths before bed, and ceiling fans on high.

Thankfully, our dinosaur 32 year old ac unit was able to be repaired, hopefully to last us a couple more years until we can replace the entire system, and to celebrate, I turned the temperature way down for a day and night.
